This is one of my favorite places to eat in Thornhill. The food is exceptional and authentic. Don't expect to be wowed by the service but the food certainly makes up for it. From the large portions, to the amazing salads and appertizers anyone would enjoy this place.
Order the appetizer plate and any meat dish. I love their jerusalem mix! Also very convenient from a location (Bathurst & Steels) and they are also opening one closer to us on Rutherford & Bathurst.

I remember coming here in the early 1990s and loved it then. It still has one of the best burgers in town, especially the homemade burger. They serve beer and have a TV as well. I watched the hockey playoffs while having my food. Great food, excellent customer service and hope they do not renovate as I love the classic diner look! If you have never been here, it is a must! I really like this restaurant. It will have your order ready within 10 minutes. If I'm ever working from home or just don't have time to cook, this is very quick and feasible option. The other day, I placed an order for a slightly spicy meal and went home. I found the meal too spicy for my taste so I asked if I could get a milder version. They just asked me to bring the original meal back & they provided me a fresh meal according to my liking within 10 minutes. Now, that's good customer service. By the way, the prices are pretty good during lunch time.

I am curious as to why it is only a 4.2 review. I have been treated like no other place. So nice and friendly. When I walked in, I must have looked confused, because they took me around and showed me where the items I wanted were. I have never tasted such deliciousness. We drove by one night on our way to night class (ballroom dance), expecting to have a quick Sushi fix, never gave it much thought to go back.
The dinner menu (printed on the placemat) caught our attention, 17$ dinner for two with soup, appetizer, 2 dishes and rice (optional brown rice).
Since the quick Sushi fix was good, we when back the following week to try the dinner for two. It was very good, presentation, portion, taste, all very well put together.
We have went back 6 - 8 times.

We weren't sure where to have dinner and decided to try this place. It was definitely worth it! When we walked in, we were greeted right away, in Italian and English, which I thought was a nice touch. There was a piano player in the foyer playing nice tunes, I liked that. The server came over right away, very courteous and kind. We were given bread with oil and vinegar to dip, it tasted delicious! Definitely authentically Italian! We then ordered fried calamari to start, definitely a good choice! Nice and crispy! Our pasta came soon after. It was cooked to perfection! The sauce was superb and the pasta's flavours all blended together nicely. I was thoroughly impressed with this restaurant and would definitely visit again. The only thing that wasn't too nice was the price, over $80 for two people, but it was well-worth it.
